Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Hygiene, lack of work ethic are the things I have to deal with
What makes you most happy at work?
Leadership and the fast pace of running a store. If it's not a gray door like mine. I'd gladly take a 2nd store so I can work more hours and have a bigger challenge.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Many things. What I'd like to see most is a directory we can go to voice a better idea or solution. We have over 1500 stores. Think of all the great ideas that are waiting to be heard from all our great people here, rep of leader.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
We need an outlet to voice suggesstions and our opinions. With the rollout of eargo, victra chose to lead with an iron fist. Eargo has got to be the worst investment and the company was even worse at rolling it out. This company should strive to get our input on someone the big picture stuff.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Need more base pay and you don't make anything at certain gray doors like mine. I'm used to higher pace. Also what's up with not working past 40 hours. That is insane! This is sales. I need to get my store to green lo and yall restrict my hours and make me close on Wednesday. Complete buffonery
