Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I enjoy working here. I have been able to make a decent life while working for Victra. I don't think compensation matches the workload at a lot of levels in this company. I think the company is far too willing to give up on management instead of pouring into them. All in, a good place to work tho.

We are very willing to help one another out in the region where I am.

Our region is really close and my district is as well. We all support each other and work together to ensure everyone is making money and having fun at work.
What makes you most happy at work?
Helping people to make more money working here than they have anywhere else. Additionally, when I can help people to find a career instead of a job, there's nothing more satisfying.

The people. Knowing that I make a difference in helping those that work for me having a better life. Even those that no longer work for me will stay in touch with me to report on their success. That means the world to me.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Middle management puts in more work than they are compensated for. We have to work from sun up til sun down and then some in some situations. I would like to see either a higher base or either higher payouts on bonus or easier targets. Lots of reps outpace us on earnings.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The rhythms do not make sense for everyone. Requiring as much time in stores as we do takes away from us managing an overall District. For me personally it requires 6 to 10 hours in the car. Office days are more effective more often than not because I can be more global and less focused on 1 store.
