Victra was founded as a partnership by Richard and David Balot in October 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina. Victra was incorporated as ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. in 1999. Today, Victra is independently owned and operated in Raleigh, North Carolina, with more than 200 people in the Store Support Center. In 2020, Victra opened its Communications Center, employing hundreds of team members who handle Verizon Consumer, Business, and Customer Care calls, along with Victra store support. What are some of the best things about your team?
I like how close we are, it truly feels like we are a team and every day we fight to be the best.
What makes you most happy at work?
I feel for the most part in control, I still have rules and obligations to follow but I can customize how I can work towards those
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I feel at home here at Victra, I never once wondered what a job outside of Verizon would be. This is the only job that has made me feel this way!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I just feel for my workload that I deserve a little bit more of a raise. I have old collegues working at fast food joints making more than me hourly and sometimes it does not feel good on those weeks that my store performs not as well as they could do.
