I know that my pay is below market rate. Being at least at market rate would make me feel better.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Very inclusive, most everyone seems to be passionate about the company, and there are a lot of tenured employees- as a new hire, there seems to be so much potential for growth.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
"Culture" doesn't have to be a big gesture. One that begins with a simple greeting to one another when passing in the hallways (no matter position or familiarity), would be a great practice. It's unfortunate that this even need be said. It should be automatic and more prevalent, but it isn't.

They asked easy but intensive questions

It is almost non-existent once one is in the company. Being considered for a different role or level, or even having one's interest acknowledged doesn't seem to be the norm. Imo, best practices consider current employees before even posting positions externally.
