Wells Fargo Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

How simple it all was

I had an outstanding recruiter

Simple and straightforward, very honest about the whole process.

The interview process moved quickly. The recruiters and hiring manager were prompt and communicated well.

Based on competency and real life experiences

Fair over the phone questions, tried to get a sense of who i was

It was quick and to the point.

it was good, had muliple rounds

Standardize questions across the company

It was very efficient and organized

It was via email and phone calls that were very positive and easy to understand.

Good process. 2 Technical rounds one HR round

It was very easy, no complaints

Being evaluated by multiple employees.

Pretty streamlined, and they get back to you.

Review from Finance Dept

Fast responses, everything over the phone

Many of the recruiters are great and create a comfortable and positive environment to interview. However, once the interviews start with the acrual managers it can be rough while balancing authenticity and wanting the job and sensing their may be other qualifications or skills needed.

The process was very quick

Review from Legal Dept

Easily coordinated, good IT set up

It wasn’t stressful and stuck

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

speed it up to less than 6 months

It moves so slowly. Usually takes about two months to see progress.

Better word those answers exactly how they want to hear them because they won't hire if you use the wrong words.

Over my career there I intereviewed for many different posiitons. All of them start with the question about salary. Its backwards and I think it is intentional. They start by telling you they know what you already make and they aren't willing to pay for the job you will do, they keep you down.

The progress is virtually all computer driven.

I rarely hear back on an interview. No feedback or anything to help me improve.

Remove politics and discrimination and unfairness

Review from Sales Dept

Less bureaucracy and policy based hiring that onky serves to allow people to check boxes

Stop assuming you know the role. Interviewers do not understand the roles they are interviewing.

Ask questions that make sense, they are very wordy and misleading

Review from Customer Support Dept

Open interviews with many other canadiates

Review from Sales Dept

fix the interview process to favor less needy people.

Review from IT Dept

I suggest that Wells Fargo have someone whom the new hires are going to be working with for a while to complete the interview. So the interviewers are not able to be overly harsh on potential new hires that they won't even be working with or training.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Less screening and more face to face

Review from Operations Dept

The companies phone interviewers are not full time employees they are Temps. This makes 0 sense to me in a business aspect. If you are not invested in the company why would you care who gets hired.

Review from Operations Dept

Ask real ,more understanble questions

Review from Customer Support Dept

It’s all about who you know and if they like you there’s nothing to base you off. If you come from a branch with a bad manager then your chances are shot

Review from Operations Dept

Too quick ... take almost anyone.

Review from Product Dept

average- hard to get a job unless you know somebody

Review from Customer Support Dept

Recruiting is a total mess. It’s poorly handled and drags on way too long. In short Wells Fargo is like a government agency and moves just as fast. New leadership might be alright but they don’t realize there are tons of mid-levels managers who stymie the growth they are attempting.
