Workday Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Stocks, I think it is an essential part of the compensation package.

Review from HR Dept · Posted 11 days ago

I'm paid very well for very little work / low expectations.

Review from HR Dept

The variable pay for TA - P&P team is 20% and thats pretty impressive! Altho stocks for P&P Could be slightly more for retention!

Review from HR Dept

Our stock grants and mental health benefits.

Review from Operations Dept

Generous total salary package & Private Health Insurance for me and my family.

Review from HR Dept

The RSUs and bonus we get 2x a year.

Review from Marketing Dept

I believe that our compensation package is competitive.

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

more stock, higher base comp

Review from HR Dept

The market drmand has reduced and the type of customer buying is different from when Workday likely started out. The ability to make money is far less.

Review from Sales Dept

I noticed some inconsistencies in how compensation and promotions are handled, and I'd like to understand the process better.

Review from Finance Dept

The is no transparency with quotas. There is no benefit for tenure. A 33% reduction in assigned accounts should not tranlate to a higher quota.

Review from Sales Dept

I think that at the level I am at, my stock is low and im not at the midpoint - I think Workday has great benefits and takes care of their employees but pay $$++ for exec leadership and the comp for P4-M4 is not competitive

Review from HR Dept

Some disparity amongst team members

Review from HR Dept

Yes, I've been recently reminded that I am nothing more than a number and that I am replaceable despite my talent, contributions, and extensive knowledge. All to save a trivial amount of money. I would rather an emphasis have been placed on setting internal teams up for success.

Review from HR Dept

Ive been asked to do two roles and have been in that pattern all year with no pay increase or promotion.

Review from HR Dept

Its below market comparable salaries

Review from Sales Dept

It's hard to advance your career.

Review from Design Dept

Canadian pay band for some roles are 65% of the american band for director positions despite toronto having a high cost of living

Review from Operations Dept

Get paid less than market

Review from Customer Success Dept

Compensation Plans are not commensurate with quotas. We have changed how we sell and many customers have contracts that are over inflated with shelfware.

Review from Sales Dept

I expect a higher level with a higher pay. Some new hired senior engineers look not much better than current engineers, but they got a high level.

Review from Engineering Dept

Now that job ads are required to publish salary brackets, I realize that I'm making less at Workday than other companies. I would also like salary ranges to be published to employees for all posts.

Review from Product Dept

Can get a significantly higher salary outside, most probably will leave bc the difference is too big now

Review from Engineering Dept

My team is short-staffed, and I am a P3, so when I do overtime work (quite often), I am not being compensated for that extra time. If I don't put in overtime, my other teammates have to pick up the difference.

Review from Finance Dept

Providing an actual career path for individual contributors. Being paid the same as my California colleagues for doing the same amount of work. Getting raises in excess of inflation. RSUs that don't get smaller and smaller every year. Getting paid at least the average for my position.

Review from Engineering Dept

Salaries don't rise with inflation and other companies pay more.

Review from HR Dept

I just want to add that sometimes I really don't feel like my work is being recognized. I volunteer for extra work and to cover shifts, which doesn't get recognized and this is kind of a continuous thing. Meanwhile some colleagues do get recognition for the extra work they do and they are paid more
