Workday Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They are concerned as much about the employees as they are about customers. Happy employees make happy customers.

Review from Sales Dept

Strike a great balance between professionalism and down-to-earth in their ability to communicate with us, set expectations, and lead by example.

Review from Customer Success Dept

They are thoughtful of the employee experience and value our skills and ambitions.

Review from HR Dept

I appreciate their dedication to our #1 value - Employees

Review from HR Dept

There is a sense of authenticity that is coming back to the organization. They are genuine people that want to deliver good results together.

Review from HR Dept

Leadership at Workday over the past few years has been a revolving door. While there were some stumbles, they were recognized; leadership changes made; and hopefully getting the company back on-track.

Review from Product Dept

Their level of transparency and focus on culture.

Review from Operations Dept

They have some vision and they are trying to work towards it.

Review from HR Dept

Focused on customers and employees vs only the stock price.

Review from Engineering Dept

Transparency and communication are back to the company

Review from Engineering Dept

The work culture that they continuously emphasize on while stressing on the goals and visions that are impactful and help us trend in the market in a strong way

Review from Engineering Dept

There are some very strong female leaders who I wish I reported to.

Review from Sales Dept

Their open mindedness to diverse ideas and thinking.

Review from Sales Dept

The transparency, openness, vision and care about the employees.

Review from HR Dept

Focus on the goals and future perspective.

Review from Product Dept

I like that Aneel is back

Review from Engineering Dept

They care about employees but some decisions are still driven in a way that it does not necessary align with the core value about employees.

Review from Engineering Dept

Credible, articulate, transparent, and caring

Review from Sales Dept

Aneel's leadership is very motivating.

Review from Operations Dept

We are begining to see more transparency.

Review from Communications Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Putting engineering and the product first, we are alienating our core customer base with bugs, performance and cost concerns.

Review from Engineering Dept

Identifying and recognising toxic behaviour, making it clear it doesn't belong at Workday and acting on it promptly

Review from Design Dept

Alignment amongst themselves, transparent and honest communication

Review from HR Dept

Focus on outcomes and stop micromanaging high performers.

Review from Sales Dept

Focus on employees, focus on customers, be more transparent, and have a strategy

Review from Product Dept

There are a lot of new leaders in the past two years who come with their own agenda. Workday used to be grounded in doing whats best for the company focusing on our employees and customers. Now marketing and talking about work is considered more important than actually executing and doing the work.

Review from Operations Dept

Lots and lots of changes happening almost every week. Employee concerns are not taken into proper account. Company cutting cost at a huge basis from the services they provide to compensation movements etc. Doesn't feel like employee retention is the priority anymore

Review from Engineering Dept

Market pay adjustment. I am way below market rate despite performing to a high level. Stop changing stack ranking levels based on a force distribution - this is a morale killer.

Review from Engineering Dept

Address middle-management gatekeeping that prioritizes safe, incremental progress over high-impact productivity breakthroughs.

Review from Product Dept

Pay transparency, practicing company values

Review from Engineering Dept

Ensure we mive tesm leaders , weve had the sane people lesfers in EMEA financials fir too long

Review from IT Dept

Constant leadership churn as well as constant cuts to pay & benefits while still talking about how much they "care" about people.

Review from Sales Dept

Empathy and making workday employee centric again

Review from Finance Dept

Articulating a vision and motivating the workmates to deliver on the vision

Review from Product Dept

- we talk about growth, development and internal opportunity but there is none - we talk about empowerment and faster decision making but we add layers and talk things to death now. - we talk about location strategy, but we still backfill in high cost, CA, when you have capable internal cand elsewh

Review from Finance Dept

Doing the right thing, and integrity.

Review from Sales Dept

Listen to employee concerns that are directly reported to the Human Resources team. There are employees that are trying to ensure they have an equitable and respectful experience here and not having adequate support is causing workmates to leave.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Truly showing that employees matter at this point its really all talk. Keeping their word on what they are going to do, when they're going to do it and continuously choose to be transparent. Workday is not what it used to be.

Review from Product Dept

There's not a lot of mid level leadership power. Everything has to go "up the chain" before it can be enacted and that keeps things slow and unorganized.

Review from HR Dept

Customer service. Everyone in sales wants to achieve and exceed the goals set. New processes are welcome to drive effeciency and best practice , but leading with fear is not what drives results. t
