The company has had many ups and downs. The ups have been incredible. The downs have been harsh. There are strong cultural differences between the engineering team and other people and teams. The experience has been mixed. Overall, I would not want to repeat.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
In terms of total compensation, I most appreciate the fair compensation, flexibility and balance between work and personal priorities.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We have a high trust environment in which strong relationships are built and upon which a strong team, operation and delivery result. This tight knitted-ness has been great.
What makes you most happy at work?
When the executive team, peers and team members are in good spirits, providing support, avoiding tearing people and teams down and focused on doing interesting and valuable work - I feel great!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I appreciate the investment being made in the team and company as well as the overall focus on getting to success. All other factors aside, I do believe the company will achieve its ultimate goal.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Outside of the engineering team, more pragmatism, more analysis, less emotion and less politics would be helpful to gaining more participation and more engagement. A variety of people have value to add and the knowledge and expertise is not only at the top.
