It was amazing for the first several years...it is sad to see the slow decline of the company and moves away from being a meritocracy
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
GE was once the world's most admired company. In the last 15 years it has slipped from that lofty status to being an important player in just 3 of the markets we once played in. As a very long time GE employee, I am saddened to see the decline of the company

Competent and helpful, very knowledgeable about subject matter

Emphasis on safety, frequent communication, open to public Q&A

The spirit and letter policies are very strong, and adhered to

Candor is encouraged, although most people are still not comfortable speaking up
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I haven't had a decent raise in 8 years. It is beyond frustrating
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team mates are highly competent and can be counted on to do the best job for our company and our customers
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Salary is competitive, in general. Although it has been in decline relative to peers for several years, especially for more senior employees
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Actions aren't matching our words. We renamed our company (Vernova) to give the impression that we are leaders in the energy transition, but our actions don't reflect that. We are a very slow follower, especially in the gas business, when it comes to transitioning to reduce carbon emissions.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Benefits package has been in decline for years. The gradual breaking up of the company is terrible for moral and is a clear sign to our customers that the company is in significant decline. This final spin to 3 separate companies will be the final nail in the coffin, so to speak.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The company break-up is clearly the last step in a decade long period of decline for GE, despite our attempts to spin it as positive. We are not taking a public leadership role in the energy transition. For the future of GE Power to be positive, we need to be dramatically more aggressive here
