I have been moved into new roles as part of reorganizations without really considering my preferences or where my talents are best used; and then tend to get "pigeonholed" there. That said, I have been able to work in many different areas over the years, which can be stimulating and rewarding.
Salary and bonus, time off, healthcare
Flexible, dedicated, customer focused, passionate, knowle
I&D focus, WFA (but could be more flexible)
Driving toward a future vision, recognizing change in industry
Very siloed, territorial, not open to change. Protective of their "turf".
Salary + 401(k) match. WFA was a nice promise, but that is gradually being diminished.
Willing to pivot and adjust priorities to address changes in the marketplace and our customer's evolving needs.
Whipsawing / changing priorities without considering the impact to team members. Limit "fire drill" exercises that interrupt planned work; and recognize the impact on people who much execute them. Culture of leadership meetings crashing calendars is disruptive and very annoying.
Too many changes in priority and direction have left products severely underfunded and/or unfinished - which drives customer dissatisfaction, and has led us to lose market share. We need a concerted effort to compete successfully against our primary competitors, especially Amadeus.
We dropped the ball on investing, invested in the wrong things, didn't deliver on what we promised, and resulted in dissatisfied customers that don't trust us to do what we say or leaving. The #1 thing is to invest in what customers want, tell them what we're investing in, then do it.
