I have always liked Sabre's inclusiveness and commitment to workplace equality.
The feeling of accomplishment at the completion of a project or reaching a milestone.
We appear to have clear direction, with initiatives that are well defined and make sense.
We have a very positive and affirming culture- one that has always seemed to recognize effort, accomplishment, and innovation- not just on a personal level but an organizational one as well.
I have a very knowledgeable team with many people able to work independently while still communicating well with each other. We are aligned in our goals, and very much working together as a team.
We have some very skilled and motivated people on our team who are at the forefront of our technologies and innovation. Most of my coworkers have also been both professional while working, and personable outside of work.
They have done a great job in keeping the company going during an all-time low for the Travel industry. They have made many changes to our working environment- for the better- and continue to push our technologies forward.
Our health insurance and 401k benefits are very good. Base salaries for some positions, though, were low *before Covid*, and slow recovery has understandably impacted the ability to raise pay. It stands, though, that while gas/groceries/housing have all gone up 25%, my pay has gone up just over 3%.
We (Sabre) are paying below market rates for some positions; there are positions available locally that are paying 10-15% higher than what I earn at Sabre. I'm still making less than a potential raise I discussed with my manager back in Jan 2020, right before Covid hit and we began layoffs, etc...
