more up and downs than a rollercoaster
easy to work with and fun to be around.
The culture at the company is there, and it is a good one. Problem is that is not being followed by the management team.
Informing better and acknowledge that we are not in a good position and that layoffs are a part of us at this point every year or 2 years
The people. But to make it clear. It has nothing to do with what the company calls "their culture" is because it's an eclectic environment with people from all over the world.
Salary is not competitive, promotions are only given to people to are friends of the managers, salary increases are almost nothing every year, no opportunity to grow because hiring are already chosen before you can apply. Nothing is fear
It does not feel fair nor good to be in this company for 10+ years and only get 1 promotion and people who have been working for 3 are already seniors or more. That is how unfair the leaders are. Only promoting their friends and who they like
Being clear at what are the expectations and the rewards for doing a good job. Keeping the people that do work hard and want to be here happy. Promotions and salary increases are based on being their friend or them liking you. Not about what you do as an employee.
People that do care and do a good job can go 10 years and never be rewarded with either being contributor or senior and then there's people that just because they are their friends and they like them are Seniors in 5 years. It was never fair game for everybody. Same with compensations.
My direct team is align with my same train of thought on how managers and supervisor are. We still get the job done and with time to spare sometimes. Human level of entry position people has always been the best. Is the people on the top that do not seem to care about the ones on the bottom.
Everything we see is bad (stock going down, fear of layoffs every 3 years) and executives never give an honest answer on how are we doing. Pay the people that do a good job and care the money they deserve. Do not make a summit for 1000 people to say there is no money for the employees.
