The people here in the office love to interact and have fun. Folks are respectful and considerate, but are willing to schedule little fun events (tail-gate lunches, birthday celebrations, etc.). There is also a great culture of care. We do volunteer work throughout the year at various places.
To be clear, there's a difference between my "boss" and company "leadership". Lately the leadership has begun to actually lead, but there are still missing elements that are usually provided to the company from the leadership, such as plans for the future (think 3 and 5 year plans), since the sale.
Vertafore needs to consider adding a few benefits, such as Sick Days, increased paternal leave, and other health benefits such as a good health fund that can be used for health club memberships or equipment. As for salaries, salaries should be based on local level and not at the national level.
On occasion there's a company who's executive leadership helps keep people there, but in reality it's going to be the people you interact with on a day to day basis. The people who work at Vertafore are some of the best I've worked with in the many companies I've worked at.
