This company is a decent place to get your foot in the door of the tech industry, but perhaps not to stay long term. The "We love insurance!" propaganda is oppressive, and the pay is better at other companies.

I like accomplishing the goals I set for myself, and I love helping other people accomplish their goals. Helping people learn and improve makes my day worthwhile.

It wasn't a terribly long process like some other companies - an online "test", a call or two, and one in-person interview (pre-covid). Things may have changed since then though.

The leadership team needs to get better at listening to employees. We want to do a good job, but we often don't have all the resources or training we need .

My team is full of brilliant and hard-working people. They are detail oriented problem solvers, and are a pleasure to work with. I'm lucky to have such a great team of coworkers.

The best thing about the environment is that we're all working from home right now - there isn't a whole lot I miss about the office. The best thing about our culture is that we stick together and support each other as a team, at least in my department.

This year, average-performing employees received a 3% raise. Exceptional employees, of which there are very very few, received a 5% raise. In a year of over 7% inflation that means we all effectively received a pay cut. I personally do not feel compensated or even recognized for doing a great job.
