I've worked here for 30+ years. Over those years, we've moved 7 times, been renamed 3 times, and been bought and sold a lot of times. I left for a year and a half - and came back here. It's home.

The intelligence and sense of humor among my teammates is amazing.

They look forward constantly, so we do not become mired in the past.

We are a mixture of long-term employees and newer employees. The mix works great to maintain tradition and keep us fresh.

Doing something I'm good at, with people who are even better at it than me. Laughing with my co-workers. Celebrating reaching tough goals.

In my location, there are many long-term employees (me among them), and we really try to foster and train our newer/younger teammates. We often say that we are like family.

Health care - the high deductible plan scared me at first, but with the HSA card - and money from Vertafore, it's a sensible choice, and has worked well (so far :)) for me.

PTO time is supposedly unlimited - as a long-term employee, I still take what I took before that change - which was already a high number of weeks. Also the insurance is competative.

The work - not the meetings - which are way too many (there hasn't been a "what do you like least" question yet, so want to get that in there - and interacting with my co-workers.

They understand the need to work fast and sometimes we need to pivot on a dime, but then they also understand the need to rest, so no one's checking up every minute to see who's taking a longer break, or is a few minutes late.

They pay a lot of attention to racial and cultural diversity. When that started, I thought it was a gesture, but the efforts have continued for more than 1 year, with no end in sight. Being a part of the "cultural mainstream" myself, I have no horse in this race, but still admire their efforts.
