It's been an exciting first year. I've met tons of extremely competent and interesting people, and gained insight into how a company can reach this size and still maintain such an inviting and effective company culture.

The salary. It is commensurate with my experience and then some.

They are a diverse group of people who are ambitious and lively.

The diversity of the work I have. This position constantly presents new opportunities for learning and development.

They acknowledge the value of a healthy work-life balance and it shows in the benefits afforded to us.

Profit sharing. It gives me a vested interest outside of my normal salary in the success of this company.

They have demonstrated numerous times that they are capable of performing the tasks that they ask of me, and consistently make themselves available to assist.

Everyone is a specialist in some way. People are very open about what their strengths and weaknesses are, and are proactive to help in any way that they can.

I don't feel like any one at the company is inaccessible. If I ever have questions about ongoing projects, or standard procedure- everyone is willing to help regardless of job title.

Everyone seems to be invested in their work to the point that there is constant accountability in collaboration on projects and day to day tasks. Responsibilities are clearly defined, and there is no shortage of people willing to help.

Interacting with others to reach a common goal. I also enjoy dipping my toes into issues that might not be directly related to my position. At Esri I feel there is ample opportunity to learn about things that I otherwise would not have been exposed to.
