Esri is a very stable, responsibly-managed and dependable company to work for, and I appreciate that the leadership team is able to keep it that way while satisfying our customers' changing needs.
In general, my sense is that Esri offers more flexibility and slightly better compensation than comparable work in government agencies without the volatility that characterizes many publicly-traded technology companies or government contractors.
I'm most happy when my work directly supports my colleagues and our users - any time I can be there to answer a question, identify or help fix a problem, or improve users' experience.
The most positive aspect of the culture and environment in my department is that everyone is dedicated to collaborating and getting the job done, and I think there is a strong connection to our purpose of improving our users' experience.
