The desire to do right by the customer.
Being able to blow off steam with some of my peers.
Reduce the number of sessions in the interview, have clear focus on each interview loop, hire for the Nordstrom bar not team bar.
Team is diverse, playful, but also hard working. We recognize the parts of Nordstrom that don't work, and have created a sub culture of internal snarkiness but desire to make things better that helps keep us going.
In technology, the market has heated up and Nordstrom fails to keep pace with the comp of my peers at other places. Its sadly creating an environment where the good employees have to leave to be comped fairly.
Too many autocratic decisions being forced down without understand capacity and capabilities of teams. Removing the SVPs that are wreckless and cause more damage in the pursuit of their personal bonuses. Recognize people for the good work they do, not the impressions of how people feel about them.
