My direct manager is amazing. They are respectful and kind to everyone.
We often have to pull together to "fix" issues that come from others overpromising to clients or when new processes are put in place without input from the experts aka the people that actually do the work. We jump hurdles together.
The current environment out side of my immediate team is hostile and militant. The direction we are headed is often not clear because it changes on executive's day to day whims. Decades of team experience are set aside and the same historical missteps are repeated.
Be kind and respectful. Consistent roadmaps. Realistic timelines. Trust the experts that understand the process vs starting from scratch when they don't understand. Stop zig zagging with decisions. Do what you say you are going to do. Stop over promising resources and not delivering.
