I have had a very positive experience and find the work here rewarding. I am worried about our future with the faculty growing so fast and the shortened NCO, that we will hire collaborators who do not support our mission or values. Most companies say one thing but do another, we do not.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
That they do care and that they are readily accessible.

Helping learners to be successful and supporting my Team and the other faculty and collaborators.

Working together, all sharing in the same mission (the success of the learners) and the culture.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I love how accepting everyone is of everyone's authentic self, I also like the grace and encouragement toward self-growth.
What are some of the best things about your team?
All my coworkers are very invested in helping each other and are focused on learner success. It is wonderful to work at an institution where there are so many people working together and supporting each other and the learners.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
When I was hired, everyone during that time was hired at the same level regardless of experience, professional development, degree, or certification. I am hoping that this realignment will occur in August (I believe that this will be rectified).
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They genuinely care about everyone, they actually display and uphold the Core and Act values. They have truly invested themselves in the culture of this organization. Additionally, they are committed to helping support their team as well as the learners.
What makes you most happy at work?
I like interacting with the learners. It is so enjoyable being able to support their success. They are always so thankful for help and guidance. I also really enjoy my team and coworkers. Everyone has such good attitudes.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Currently, there has been a significant increase in the pay scale for nurse educators that have not been implemented here. There was a recent announcement that Nightingale College is currently conducting an audit of this so I expect our rate to meet industry standards soon.
