I love Sabre. My disdain with respect to leadership is due to the corporate mindset in America which is to overpay executives with gross compensation all the while leaving the workers, who make the company succeed, with the leftovers. It's disgusting and I am tired of it. I fear my kids future.
What makes you most happy at work?
The flexible arrangement and also the people I work with.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is amazing from top to bottom. Our managers support us, invest in us, engage the team, give autonomy, and want nothing more than for us to succeed. My coworkers are gems! A true treasure to work with.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I love Sabre, but I don't love the way Sabre compensates its employees. Leadership is compensated above and beyond. But the people that keep the company going, the people, whom without, leadership wouldn't have a job in order to receive the vast sums of money they receive. We want security too.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Look at what the average executive makes. Look at what they bring home for bonuses. Now, look at what the average worker gets. Without us the executives don't have a company to work for. But we are given the crumbs. They receive stocks for their employment but we have to buy them. Unfair.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
This company has made some major strides in making the average worker feel valued again. It was really bad for a long time, but it is so much better than before. We are not disposable just to bump the bottom line. We are humans who have needs and should be treated as such. Sabre is doing better.
