I've been here 30+ years and still love what I do. I've seen and experienced lots of changes in senior leadership, not always good. New people always try to make change. It's like fashion, wait a minute and it will come back around. Been there, done that repeatedly. I just keep doing my job.
What makes you most happy at work?
Not any one thing, I generally love what I do which is why I have never changed companies since arriving here 32 years ago.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Reliability, diversity. We all hold different backgrounds which is great for obtaining feedback and support. I can always count on finding my answers or pointing me in a new direction to look.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I and D. I grew up in this industry and have a lot of friends in the LQBTQ community. I am proud of my company to be openly supportive of this group of people and allowing them to be who they were born to be.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I know we, lower level employees, are not fully in the know but I do appreciate the transparency of the things that are shared with us. 2020 covid hit and the corporate world needed to evolve. Our company stepped up to allow us the liberty to evolve by WFA.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am actually blessed to have 30+ years and never been on a layoff list. I was one of the employees left holding the doors open in 2020 and was grateful to not have been furloughed. However, it would be great to receive a higher pay increase than 2.5 - 3.5% once in a while.
