Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

The benefits are great. The job is good. The intent is good. But the industry is tough. The leaders are complacent. The best people are leaving. And the rest of us are trying to keep the ship floating.

What are some of the best things about your team?

They are open, honest, collaborative, and respect each other's expertise.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Remote-friendly teams, plenty of learning opportunities (for tech-focused roles), and occasional on-campus social activities.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They do what they can to ensure we hit our targets to receive our bonuses.

What are some of the best things about your team?

- Willing to collaborate - Understanding of conflicting priorities - Accepts when they're wrong

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

- Colleagues want each other to succeed - Open door attitude from leaders - 401k company match is industry-leading - Payroll arrives on time

What do you like best about the leadership team?

- Granted year-end-break for all employees - They try to be authentic - They bring in new ones every 3 years, when things aren't working out

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Constant industry struggle during travel recovery, too many siloed teams contradicting work, limited resources, and executive leaders change every 3 years (which changes directions/goals and team member morale)

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

- expected to cover too many things at the same time - wish I had stronger, more talented direct reports - wish i had more time for skill development

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation for my role at the same level is higher at other companies. I hope to have conversations about this with my manager and would feel better being compensated at industry rates. And as a high-performer, our annual merit raises have still been slim-to-none.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

- Negotiation attempt was turned down - Expertise hired for is often not listened to Would feel better compensated if I was in the mid-compensation range of the Principal level I'm in (currently below and I've been at that level for 5 years now).
