What did you like most about the interview process?learning about the interviewees research and thought process
What makes you most happy at work?Going into my laboratory, working with my immediate team and performing research.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company? My immediate group/lab is positive. The overall, larger Unit, Center and Area are very disjointed. You are punished for asking questions from the wrong person. The leaders mistake this civilian work force with military-like institution. Employees are automatically treated as dumb children
What would you improve about your company's interview process?because it is set up to be 'unbiased' the process is ineffectual. The panel does not know what the position is that the candidate is being interviewed for, so they cannot answer questions and can only provide feedback on how well the candidate was able to answer stock questions
What needs to change to make the company culture better?team building events, leadership help on motivation, better work-life balance
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?I make less than some fast food workers for a job that requires years of school & trainings.
