My experience has been great here. I will say there are times when safety is an issue. I do worry about the company's future due to staffing issues and the company not adapting to the changing dynamic of residents we take in. My personal connections to my coworkers and manager are wonderful.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It feels like a family.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some of us have the same values and work ethic. We are able to bounce ideas off of each other for the common good.
What makes you most happy at work?
My particular department allows us to see the accomplishments of the kids which is most rewarding. I also enjoy seeing some of my coworkers.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They will listen to concerns that I have. They are accomodating with personal issues, and they try to make the best working environment possible for us.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It is not the company's fault; it's more the state. Our particular profession is underpaid compared to our counterparts in the area. We endure great amounts of stress and time spent working outside of our 8 hour day. I have been given generous raises that I am grateful for.
