Challenging but supportive. Sometimes there are mixed signals and we have some folks who could be better team players. They are nice people and tehir heart is in the right place , but they like things their way and struggle to accept that others may see thinsg differently. That creates problems .
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting stuff done that matters. We sometimes get distracted by things that really don't matter and think they do.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They really do try to do good work. Even with a tough job they are usually pretty positive and make the best of things.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Desire to create positive change and make Adelphoi a better place to work. We really do care about trying to do good work with our kids.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Focused. The efforts to try to improve the general conditions are real (wages/benefits). I appreciate the improvements. But the stuff that makes the job tough, the kids, regulations, COVID, complicated systems, and not having enough people to help may just be too much.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Affordable health care and stuff like First Stop. Retirement could be better. I think the pay is good for what we do but I could go elsewhere and amke more for teh effort I put in. But I am not complaining. I think it is fair.
