i have learned a lot about child management and been exposed to many different experiences that i wouldn't find elsewhere. i have worked for people who did not care about their employees and the experience was terrible. recently i began working for a new team at secure and the management is better!

keeping youth safe and sober
What makes you most happy at work?
working with my team to run a schedule that keeps the youth on task and produtive. giving the youth opportunities for growth.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Being on the same page, having shared goals, helping employees use their benefits. appreciating valuable employees rather than just looking at problems
What are some of the best things about your team?
my current team is awesome. when i worked in the group home, i never had a full team and nobody stayed long enough to tap into their potential as an employee. there was no support. right now i work with supportive adults who have a wide array of skills
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
there are employees starting at 18-19$/hr while i am making only slightly more than that after 4 years of hard work. in 3-6 months these employees who i have trained will be eligible to earn more money than me. i am expected to be on shift with them and do more work for less money.
