What makes you most happy at work?

Doing my job. I love learning new things and playing with things. My job allows me to test out different ways to do something and to work through new techniques that I may not have had before.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I have to say since moving to my current team the environment is a lot better and not as hostile. I feel everyone makes an effort to keep it that way and to collab. I am worried how things will change when some are back in the office.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Being in touch with the staff. Throughout the pandemic they didn't seem to care about what was happening to the people in the org that didn't report to them. Additionally the whole return to office conversations could have been handled better. Think like I will not discuss it or you can leave.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

The noise is a big thing for me. I have medical conditions that are triggered by light and sound. For me the constant noise, the dropping off at desks to chat about things is a constant distraction. I also feel the collab in person is not as great as virtual. Virtual requires work drive by does not.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel that those coming into the org are given a better and higher salary and those that are promted within are kept to a min of a 10% increase. Each promotion I am told HR wouldn't go more than this, yet if I leave and come back I would get hirer. That is not a great way to retain talent.
