Asurion – I had a chaotic on boarding, was mislead about my role requirements, pay could definitely be better, and I'm being forced to change roles (not due to me or the company), but i still love my job. I don't know how long that sentiment will last, but it is still the best job I've ever had. | Comparably

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I sincerely believe the diversity in the company makes everyone feel like they fit in, and being part of group makes work easier. When everyone lifts, the burden is lessened.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone is willing to help out when they can and everyone does their fair share of work. I don't feel like I am carrying a store on my own while the others mess around.

What did you like most about the interview process?

I didn't feel like I had to be overly formal or that everything about me was being picked apart. My only complaint is that the communication after was poor and I was intentionally mislead about sales requirements.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My pay is just at cost of living for where I'm at. I am sincerely grateful for my pay, but if my significant other didn't have a well paying job we would live paycheck to paycheck. Pay is the main issue with this employer.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

When I was hired initially I was told that sales was not a requirement, but sadly that changed and due to events out of my control, it will be a heavy requirement. I just wish almost every role wasn't also sales based on entry level.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Regardless of the sincerity behind Asurions progressiveness, the company and leadership go out of the way to make as many people feel welcome in our ranks. I appreciate that I've worked side by side with a trans woman and that my direct supervisor is open about their sexuality.
