Asurion – I get excited for work. I love the culture, the people, and the w/l balance, but at this scale we need a high-performing product. The comp is so much better elsewhere the good talent leaves. This leaves ok workers that produce a good not great product, but ok scales exponentially worse than great. | Comparably

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They are invested in improving on old solutions and moving our codebase towards where it needs to be.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Everyone is compassionate and understanding. The culture is very inclusive and accepting. I feel like I can be myself.

What makes you most happy at work?

I'm able to focus on projects that interest me and develop a broad skillset at a self determined pace. If I get into something I can work for hours on end, but I never feel an obligation to work overtime.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is terrific and young. We have innovative thinkers, proactive PMs, and great personalities. The problem is all the young talent is planning on leaving for higher paying positions and only the people who can't get more competitive offers stay.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My TC is simply 40% less than the companies I'm looking at moving to. The culture is great, and the people are pleasant, as is the management team, but there's no equity and the base is low. Talent retention won't improve without more competitive comp.
