The team I work with and I continue to take on important duties without much direction and without discussion with the team who is performing the tasks.

Only 1 employee. This employee causes a rift within the team and is completely incompetent and not a good fit for THIS team. It appears HR and management are unable to move the employee off the team without unproven backlash. The team has spoken with HR about this issue.
