My experience has gone downhill in the past 5 years. Silos have increased, leaders are not transparent and often gaslight their teams as they try to cover their own butt. It has become dysfunctional and toxic with moving targets that create more chaos and unhappy employees. It makes me sad.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I can't say anything positive about the culture or environment at Asurion because it has changed significantly in the past 2 years. It has become very toxic and chaotic across multiple teams and departments.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Marketing is a mess. There have been multiple reorganizations and each one is touted as the best way to approach marketing. Each reorg requires a 180 in how teams work and that slows down and stops progress. The reporting structure in Marketing is messy and vague with changing expectations.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The best thing about our team is that even with all of the political games in Marketing, and efforts to damage individual reputations, that our team still cares about the kind of work they do. They still desire to do good work even without our immediate leaderships support. They are good people.
