in order to improve the culture you'll need to clean house starting at the top with Hoss, and then Brian Wright, and then John Dickow. With these pieces in place there is no hope for change.
knowledge base between products yet we're all paid the same. numbers are used to keep raises instead of giving them. no reward for hard work, you just look at 1 number. its very impersonal and cold.
how we all seem to be there for one another. i am networked very well with in barracuda so i have made friends across all products. i started on the archiver team, was quickly moved to the backup team,... cross trained on ESS as well.
the industry standard for the product i support and knowledge base you need to have to support the product is more than double what i am currently making. metrics for raises are based solely on 1 number, nothing else. there are no exceptions. just do more, take more, while having to beg for raises
everything.... support is broken from the top down. hoss facilitates the culture he wants and hes got it. we are told right from the director of ann arbors mouth we do not treat you well because we don't expect you to stay. and thats exactly how we are treated and paid. like we dont matter at all
