I am a pilot. I feel overworked, and underappreciated. We are a small underappreciated, but necessary team for business. When we make a mistake, someone gets hurt or dies. Still, more work is stacked on us. In the past few years, I have seen 13 pilots leave (1 from aviation death) and 6 get hired.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Profit is their only motivator.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The aviation industry is picking up. Pilot salaries are increasing everywhere, but here.
What makes you most happy at work?
The customer makes me happy. Leaving Bell in a few years or less makes me happy.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company culture is different than my departments culture. The "company" is making a profit. My department is tired and overworked.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Strong group of veterans makes a great team. But lately we have lowered our standards because lack of new hire prospects, lack of applications.
