If I could tell myself in the past 18 years ago, DON'T come to work at BELL. I should have walked out the first day I started work at BELL, but I thought I could help change the environment but the White supremacy existing in Management kept me from making a difference and now I have given up.

What are some of the best things about your team?

They look to me for my dedication, experience, expertise, demeanor and teaching ability even though they are 2 levels higher than my current grade.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Nothing. The environment is very racially motivated against non-white workers at all levels in management that are 99% white and non-management that are also majority white.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership team have denied promotions to non-white Bell engineers. I work harder & smarter every day but the leadership team has not promoted me in 15 years but my white co-workers have been promoted twice from Principal to Sr. Staff Engineers in less than 4 years. This is degrading & disgraceful.

What makes you most happy at work?

Being able to use my experience and expertise in making things more efficient even with push back by management. It takes them awhile to see it but eventually they see it, make it their own idea (steal it from me) and take credit for it and get their promotions using the results of my ideas.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Being promoted and rewarded for all the hard work I have done since my last promotion in 2005. The only way to get this is by getting a better employment offer elsewhere. Good talent is leaving everyday and I am tired that this is the way to get ahead. I will be leaving soon. Will not recommend
