Our associates are by and large incredible and hardworking people.
Despite stressful working conditions the store teams I have worked with are usually very friendly and helpful.
The CEO is bleeding money into failing remodels and making up for lost profits by laying off 4000 members of management and cutting store hours to the bare minimum. Stores are failing and good employees are being driven out by unrealistic expectations and cuts.
They have cut back store hours to the bare minimum. A manager and one cashier can't run a store, give excellent customer service, and get through the massive amount of tasks handed down by disillusioned members of corporate on their own. It's killing their employees.
The interview process has changed drastically since I was interviewed and hired. Like everything in the store, corners have been cut to pinch pennies and the process has been cut down to a brief interview, a tour of the store, and a total of seven hours to be onboarded and trained.
