Dillard's is outdated and out of touch with today's consumers. Updating stores, lowering prices, and adding "younger" styles of clothing will help improve sales and company morale.
As with most retailers, Dillard's bottom line is their profits and not their employees' well-being. They're also out of touch with today's consumers and prefer to cater to an older generation of customers.
I love some of my coworkers. However, there are quite a few people who make my shifts miserable. They are the sales associates who've been with the company for 10+ years. They're rude, territorial about sales, and incredibly aggressive.
We are paid based on our sales per hour, our SPH. At my store, you start out at $12/hr. If you meet your SPH raise goal, you will get a pay increase. If you don't, you will get a pay cut, or potentially lose your job. Dillard's is basically punishing you for customers not coming into the store.
