Dillard's – It was really good in the beginning until I started being mistreated by coworkers and my direct manager. I would go to higher management and they didn't address the issues, kept getting worse. Contacted corporate multiple times with no response. Eventually I quit due to the bullying and disrespect. | Comparably

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Supporting team members and effective communication

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Hire better employees and offer a support system to employees who are being treated badly

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

The woman who interviewed me commented on how I was dressed and said I needed to dress more professionally and wear less make up.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

This company tends to hire "attractive" young people that don't need a job or have any sense of work ethics. Management allows bullying (participates in it) and allows people to slack off and break rules if they are charming enough.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Get better people in management positions, not just people that can "sell". The managers tend to be bullies and only care about salary. They don't address issues appropriately, give too many chances to bad employees and allow people to be walked over and bullied without offering any support.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I was promoted to a counter manager in cosmetics and promised a $3 raise, found out way later (was not told my raise had gone through) that I only recieved $1 raise and I was making the same as part time employees with no experience while doing 10 times the work.
