I have worked with Dollar General now for around a year and a half. When I first started I was excited to come in for my scheduled shift. Now I dread it. There is not enough staff, not enough labor hours, I'm trying to run register and stock at the same time, truck is never on time.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They mostly stay away from my store.
What makes you most happy at work?
When I get my pay check.
What are some of the best things about your team?
In my store we work together. We always have each other's back. We're able to get the job done but still laugh together.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was easy.once the application is completed the packet comes to your email. Even before being hired all paperwork has been filled out and your ready to start working.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I fell like I'm working the job of 2 or more employees. I'm only getting of barely above min wage yet I'm responsible for thousands of dollars and supervise other employees
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our store manager. She always tries to work with us. Took the time to get to know us. Shows us how if we need help so we don't need to ask again.
