mentaly exhausting, some customers are there 3 times a day

One raise a year is not enough.

It was very casual and not stressful.

Easy to relate too and nice.

The co-workers and leaving that place.

We work together, because Dollar General does not care.

Starvation wages, horrible customer base.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Having more hours, to allow us time to get things done properly.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The flexible hours ,other than that the customers are 45% strange in the low income area I work.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

More hours, quarterly or higher raises. We hardly get any respect from mid to upper management. The customer base where I work is bad at the least. We need more people on a certain shifts.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The amount of pay. The companies expectations of the amount of work to be done in the small amount of hours given to you. Starvation wages and only one raise per year. They are very cheap with lack of leadership. The policies change too much.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Talk to district managers about allowing for more hours in order to maintain the store efficiently. They always want stuff done then there is not enough hours to go around. When the hours are depleted, we fall into down slide It seems like a loose loose all the time.
