I have enjoyed my time at Dollar General, but I wish they had better benefits and cleaner/up to date buildings.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They have nice personalities and are friendly.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The store is falling apart, pieces of ceiling hang down and floor tiles are missing or terribly scratched, uneven, and damaged.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The manager that interviewed me was honest, blunt, kind and inquisitive, and wanted to know me as a person beyond just another employee.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
A better health care plan would be nice, and more than just a quarter above minimum wage would certainly make me happier as well.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people are often talkative and friendly, and my coworkers are kind to me. The physical environment is less than appealing most days though; the store is run down.
