The leadership team needs to significantly improve their communication by being more transparent about company decisions and providing regular updates to all employees. They should create better channels for two-way communication where employees feel comfortable sharing their concerns.

There are two key issues in GW. First, high performers are not rewarded properly, because GW equalizes pay, so there's no reason to overperform, since mediocrity it rewarded just as much. Second issue, execs talk big but there's hardly ever enough time and/or resources provided to do work well.

It's a relatively well-known fact that GW pays under the market rate. This used to be compensated by having great company culture and other office perks. But now, in-office perks are pretty much gone, also, GW has been cutting financial benefits as well, for example, recent cut in LTI bonuses.

I think encouraging activities between people of common/similar interest is the easiest way to foster relationship. Things like hackatons or friendly competitions that encourage teamwork and at the same time we can learn from each other is great.

Pay more. Give developers more responsibility. If you have someone making design decisions (such as software architects) and the team *is not present* that is *NOT* agile. Fundamentally. Not a single design decision should be made without the opportunity for the dev team to oppose it.

PDO's hybrid return-to-office adds many hours of travel time each week. The commute and the need to be physically present instead of mentally focused on my work significantly reduces my job satisfaction.
