What is the best part about your compensation package?
Of course, everyone desires better benefits. I think the PTO should not be given on a monthly basis. Most companies give 3 weeks for the year at the beginning of the year. And I really wish that there was sick time .. having to take PTO when you are sick really is not great.

The overall compensation at HealthStream is at the low end of the local market when it comes to salary. The basics components are there though including health, 401k matching, and random perks from the CEO (such as stock for all employees).

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Healthstream pays way under the market rate for highly skilled positions. There is constant turnover because they don't offer competitive salaries, which leads to a lot of knowledge lost every time a good employee leaves. This probably costs the company more in the long run.

The Healthcare benefits are not very competitive both in terms of cost and coverage. In fact, as a manager I've lost candidates on the basis of the healthplan being such a large step backward for them. Indeed, for the first time in my career, healthcare costs have become a concern for me!

Good communication, accepts constructive criticisms, hard working, and overall friendly and fun.

We collaborate and work well together. We're very responsive to each other, especially in helping to address needs. Everyone is willing to take on additional work to help out and doesn't mind spending extra time to help answer questions.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our company has built a culture that values our ideas and contributions. They provide incentives to go above and beyond and encourages cross-department collaboration. They also demonstrate care for our Customers, re-enforcing our Company's vision. Last but not least, everyone is encouraged to give.

Honestly just compensation. While leadership acts like they listen to our feedback, they will do everything except give us competitive pay. It's the main reason why I'm considering leaving.
