No vision for the future. Apparently IBM will grow by doing less and less. Only solutions they can come to is moving workforce offshore. ALL decisions are short-term and only intended to make stockholders happy for a couple of months. Client sat, investments in employee dev take back seat.

Basic salary is not competitive at all. IBM has to reassess its base salary based on all its competition in the BPO industry in Manila, including start ups and not just the big companies. The new companies coming in as BPO are paying more and more

IBM loves trying to hire on the cheap. Just be fair

Take home pay in 2001 2002 higher than next 12 years due to slashing bonuses and profit sharing. Most years raises are around 1%

Work environment is toxic. All executives care about is profit and savings. Care about people more. Treat them as assets and not just resources. Abolish the culture of 100% utilization. This is ciubter productive and is reason for losing great talent.

IBM is mostly a services company that looks at the people who generate the revenue only as costs. Until that mindset shifts and SCHEMES like back to office intended to push expensive people out of the company go away, will not get better. CEO is obsessed 20 year olds OR younger because of cost
Review from HR Dept
We are too reactive. We are constantly reorganizing but never seeing the true results.
