There are a lot of talented people here who develop leading edge software. So it's fast paced...a lot of discussions around how the product should work and how to implement quality software at a fast pace. This keeps things interesting & challenging and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Imprivata is a great place to work. They have ensured our safety through covid by letting us work from home. They have provided an excellent benefits package and they treat us with respect. I also feel like I'm making a difference.

The culture is very inclusive and transparent.

Everyone is very nice and professional. The engineering talent here is top notch.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone treats each other with respect. In times where we have to hash something out, the discourse is civil and constructive.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
50% 401(k) match is great. Paying the 1st half of the medical deductible is a first for me. Stipend for cell phone/WFH is rare for a company.

The overall attitude toward work/life balance. Flexible time off. Imprivata paying the first part of the medical deductible. I think those tie for 1st on my list.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I work in Engineering and the relationship between Product, UX, Dev and QA is remarkable. You don't find this type of open and friendly communication in most companies
What makes you most happy at work?
I love working through problems and that's what we do in Engineering. There's no better reward than working through something and having it work at the end of the day. It's also nice to be appreciated for the work.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The work/life balance at Imprivata is excellent. They leave the decisions up to their employees on when and how they work (within reason). This is the first company I have worked for that really trusts their employees as professionals to make these decisions.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Imprivata makes bold statements around inclusivity, which I very much appreciate. I think more companies should be more vocal on these types of issues. It makes me proud to work for them. Also their response to covid was excellent. I actually left my last job of 10 yrs because they ignored covid.
