My mentor and friends are amazing, I am just having a hard time with upper management and it honestly has made me very sad. The amount of work I do is recognized by my mentor and those close to me, but upper management does recognize it.

I don't feel like upper management values me and sees me as dispensable

My manager seems to be really invested in my success and truly shows that she cares about me as a person and not just as an employee.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I believe I have made a significant impact in the market, therefore I believe I am deserving of a pay increase. The requirements for a pay increase, which the offer was very low, is not feasible and it hurts that upper management does not believe I have to prove myself more by writing self reports.
