LexisNexis Legal & Professional Product Department Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

The genuine care and interest they have in their employees, making them feel valued.

Review from Product Dept · Posted 25 days ago

Down to earth, relatable, promote a great culture

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Clear, concise communication of goals of the team, with appropriate venue for collaboration and team work.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

So far I think they have a clear vision of where the company needs to go towards

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

They are doing their best to push the company to the next level. They are doing a good job to encourage the team to innovate and adapt new technologies.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

They need to understand how the Gen AI products work, what lawyers do/how they would use them, stop approving overlapping projects and projects that are pointless, and ensure that data science groups aren't working on problems that other groups in DS have already solved.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Clearer & more consistent Comm' and transparency around our strategies (short to long-term). Concerns about (mid) managerial effectiveness, inconsistencies in how rewards are handled. Strong push to adopt AI but insufficient critical perspective, resulting sometimes in accepting mediocre outcomes.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Listen to their team, provide clear and achievable goals for our progress

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Leadership should demonstrate that staff are valued. Frequent redundancies and the lowering working conditions have created a stressed and insecure workforce with heavier workloads and very little time or mental capacity for innovating and collaborating beyond what is required for day-to-day work.

Review from Product Dept

Rewarding the employees for their hard work

Review from Product Dept

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

The variety of choices for insurance carriers, the company match for 401(k), and the ample amount of Paid Time Off.

Review from Product Dept · Posted 25 days ago

The amount of PTO and flexible hours.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

It's good together with the perks of remote work and flexible work schedule. But the compensation could definitely be improved.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

It's the same as what most companies offer. No direct stand out or anything beyond

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

I like my bonus and retirement plan.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

Based on view of other companies retaining legal professionals for the same AI rating and reviewing, hourly rates range between 50.00 to 100.00 per hour, setting the minimum pay at approximately $125,000.00 per year on the low end. Lexis currently places pay at approximately 85,000.00 per year.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

I would feel better about my compensation if it were higher. I would feel more valued if management would listen to feedback, particularly feedback about the product and product goals, and make decisions that are consistent with what a practicing lawyer would want from the product.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Greater attention should be given to internal pay equity, as compensation for new hires sometimes exceeds that of long-tenured employees in similar positions. Salaries and bonuses in my business unit are not aligned with the group, not aligned with market benchmarks either.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Encourage internal promotion, pay closer to market rate (currently 50% below comparable positions)

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Wages could be higher as the job requires to be extremely reactive

Review from Product Dept

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

The teamwork and collaboration between the team members and the willingness to help others.

Review from Product Dept · Posted 25 days ago

Wonderful people and great culture

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Ongoing collaboration and team work to provide the best evaluation and progress of AI legal ratings. Such work shows in the increased accuracy and completeness of the Lexis AI products.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Everyone in my immediate team is intelligent, works hard, and is engaged.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

diversity, share of information that should normally be communicated by managers, mutual assistance

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Management is great. Subordinates are great. However, middle management that just wants to assign work they don't understand, complain about subordinates without training them (because they can't), and not check work because they don't know how to do it waste lots of my time.

Review from Product Dept

Some are less accountable than the others, making those accountable taking too much responsibility and burden

Review from Product Dept

Assuming co-workers mean direct peers, it would be helpful if mine had better attitudes. Other than attitudes, I do like my co-workers - but the one with a negative attitude leaves a bad impression for all.

Review from Product Dept

It's not the people it's the work conditions

Review from Product Dept

I'd like to see more drive and focus on results

Review from Product Dept

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

The ability to raise questions and concerns or take risks without the fear of repercussions.

Review from Product Dept · Posted 25 days ago

The people here are generally very collaborative.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Friendly, warm, relatable people and flexible work schedules are embraced

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Leaders invested in personal growth and contribution to overall goal and success both individually and behalf of the company. Immediate assistance when requested.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

The culture of my immediate organization is very positive. The most positive thing about the environment is being able to work from home frequently.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

More transparency and be clear about how decisions are made; Admit mistakes; Make decisions consistent with our values; Reward learning, not just success; Hold managers accountable for team health, not just results; Reduce middle/micro management; Protect our quality & ethics standards/diversity

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

more product-led structure, less internal competition

Review from Product Dept

Leadership with experience, credibility and ability. Well defined processes and progression. Compensation that is as per market standards

Review from Product Dept

Managers and leaders need to role model the mindset of continuous improvement and what we're doing to be better

Review from Product Dept

Driving the expectations from the top. Not just paying the lip service. We are NOT customer value focused. There are no such metrics used in any key decisions (eg, capex planning, release planning, etc). It's mostly about revenues and even those are not checked retrospectively. It's all guess work

My teammates and delivering high-quality digital products.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Admirable mission, great culture, nice people

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Flexibility and quality of work progress over the past year. Encouraged engagement of co-workers although all remote.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Working from home. Getting changes made to the products so they are actually useful.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

review the previous responses regarding improvements+ Protect slow thinking, the kind that scrutinizes, questions, and builds deep understanding event at the cost of temporary discomfort, instead of running on a loop, fueled by a high flow of dopamine to make some persons feel incredibly productive

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

we really need to think about the way the work flows in our current environment, before continuing to modernize I would like to see a plan that takes us to a new modern way of working toward the goals of our contract with the PTO.

Review from Product Dept · Posted a month ago

Reduce job insecurity. It's hard to look forward to doing a job when you know that the organisation you work for wants to make you unemployed.

Review from Product Dept

Clearer structure and more accountable member of the team

Review from Product Dept

Compensation is not reflective of skill level and work product of the Canada Content Team, especially the Secondary Content Team.
