It is, quite literally, the worst job I have ever worked at but in order to survive, I have to stay for the pay.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Employees are verbally assaulted and abused by management on an almost daily basis with no chance for discussion or rebuttal and there can be no explanations for why "something went wrong" because the management is always right and sees everything, everywhere, all the time.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I'm employed as "part time" but easily work over 30 hours a week so that they can avoid giving me benefits, I'm ineligible for direct deposit because I'm not management and I am only paid $0.05 above minimum wage which is nowhere NEAR being able to live even paycheck to paycheck.
