Founded in 1959, it was the result of a blind date between Mike Ilitch and Marian Bayoff, who eventually married and dropped their entire life savings into opening a pizza store just outside Detroit. Despite all the positive things I've mentioned, the only thing I don't like is the intimidation factor the manager uses to his advantage. Despite being lower status than him, we are still people and don't deserve to be yelled at, especially when a medical condition is why you couldn't maintain duty.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Team leader is GREAT at explaining procedure, hands-on training, and constructive criticism.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
Better pay, full-time hours to receive benefits, employee incentive, like at least a compliment when doing an EXCELLENT job.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
There are no benefits offered since every employee there is kept at part-time hours in order to avoid providing benefits.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team works together well, communication between us is superb, we all get along well with eachother as well, while making work fun.
What makes you most happy at work?
What makes me most happy is the feeling of making other people happy with pizza. I like all my co-workers and we get along well.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview process basically went like this: "Come in, fill out an application and we'll get you started off during rush hour! No better time to learn!"
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The crew in the kitchen all get along well, make light of stressful situations, and, being a franchise, we have a few things we can do that a corporate restaurant can't do!
