Little Caesar's – Disappointed. Unimpressed. Let down. Extremely stressful (and I've worked in medical..pizza should NOT be stressful such as this). I see potential, if the owner were to apply himself into the business he chose to run. I see potential if the owner were to invest and coach his employees. | Comparably

Little Caesar's Claimed Company
Little Caesars wants to be ""the best take-home pizza chain by exceeding customer expectations with extraordinary value, great tasting products and outstanding people."" Founded in 1959, it was the result of a blind date between Mike Ilitch and Marian Bayoff, who eventually married and dropped their entire life savings into opening a pizza store just outside Detroit. It eventually became the fastest-growing pizza chain in the country. read more

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The couple of coworkers who value teamwork.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

No sick pay. No insurance offered (even when more than full time). I've seen more than once a denied raise with promotion and denied back-pay. HIGH turnover within reason.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

I arrived early at the interview. Owner showed up nearly 15 minutes late. He pulled up my resume on his phone phone apparently read it for the first time. Unprofessional. Unprepared.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The owner is unprofessional, lacks back and forth communication, guilt trips from the owner when anyone is sick, lacks leadership. A careless boss working a machine. He is not a leader who invests in employees to make them valued assests.

What are some of the best things about your team?

To clarify, there are NO meetings. The members who have stayed, stay b/c they need some kind of pay during the pandemic. They work HARD. People who don't need the pay and have experienced the treatment, leave nearly immediately.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Constant guilt trips when any employee is sick - makes you stay even when you've PUKED on shift. No sick pay. No leadership. Potential has been lost. Google reviews (customers) have noticed the significant change with the new (now current) owner. Simply put: this has been an unhealthy environment.
